Metallic Black with Depth and an Oil-Spill Sheen
Metallic Black C6 Pro Series Stoneware Glaze produces a soft greenish-black fired colour with depth across the surface. A thicker application can develop a slight oil-spill sheen, giving the finish subtle tonal movement rather than a flat, uniform black and making reflected light and changing surface character more visible across the fired piece.
Choose this glaze when you want a dark cone 6 surface with more atmospheric variation than an even black finish. Fired results can shift with clay body, application thickness and kiln conditions, so compare test tiles before applying a new method or glaze combination across a full batch.
- Recommended for dipping or spraying; brushing can also be used.
- Suitable for layering when testing combined glaze effects.
- Add Powder Gum Arabic as required when a thicker applied finish is needed.
