Transparent Green and Turquoise-Blue Cone 6 Effects
Jewelry C6 Pro Series Stoneware Glaze changes noticeably with application thickness. Thin areas break towards transparent green, while thicker deposits build into turquoise blue, allowing rims, throwing lines and recessed details to show contrasting colour. In light reduction, the glaze can move towards red and purple tones, adding another variable for controlled glaze testing.
Choose this glaze when you want a responsive blue-green surface rather than one fixed colour across the whole form. Thickness, clay body, layering, firing atmosphere and kiln conditions can all influence the result, so test each application and combination on clearly labelled tiles before committing it to important work or a complete batch.
- When brushing, consider adding a small amount of brushing medium first.
- Compare thin, thick and layered sections on the intended clay body.
- Add Powder Gum Arabic as required for a thicker applied finish.
