Wood-Fired-Style Green Ash Variation at Cone 6
Green Ash C6 Pro Series Stoneware Glaze creates a variegated ash-style surface with olive-green, deeper green and bronze-brown tones. Designed to echo the character of a wood-fired glaze at cone 6, its shifting colour works particularly well across throwing lines, ridges and textured details where the changing surface can emphasise the form.
Choose Green Ash when you want ash-glaze character with a stronger green emphasis rather than a more neutral surface. The green hues are most apparent on brighter clay bodies and porcelain, while the glaze can fire darker and run on some stoneware bodies. Test the intended clay body and application thickness before glazing important pieces.
- Record the clay body and application thickness on each test tile.
- When brushing, consider adding a small amount of brushing medium before application.
- Add Powder Gum Arabic as required for a thicker applied finish.
