Transparent Gloss with a Developing Crackle Network
Clear Crackle BOTZ Earthenware Glaze creates a transparent, glossy surface defined by a fine network of cracks. The attached examples show the effect clearly across flat samples, bowls and rounded forms, where the crackle pattern adds visible structure without covering the underlying surface.
Choose it when the crackle itself is intended to become part of the decoration. Most cracks develop after cooling and can continue to strengthen for up to a week; the network can then be highlighted with black China ink, multi-coloured acrylic paints or strong black tea.
