Light Blue Aqua with Distinctive Crackle Detail
Aqua BOTZ Earthenware Glaze has a glossy, semi-transparent light-blue appearance rather than a fully opaque colour. The attached examples show its turquoise-aqua tones across smooth and relief-decorated pieces, with fine crack lines adding visible texture and detail to the surface.
It is particularly interesting on black and red clay and is suitable for Raku, giving makers different ways to explore its colour and surface character. The glaze is consistent between 1020°C and 1060°C; when applied on both sides or all around, some clay types can develop blisters.
