Bulk Purple Dry Glaze for Stoneware Ceramics
Eggplant is a dark violet-purple Milton Bridge stoneware glaze with fine lighter flecking visible in the fired sample. The colour shifts towards brighter blue-violet around raised areas and edges of the decoration, providing useful tonal contrast on pottery where surface texture, carving or relief work is intended to remain visually prominent after firing.
The 25kg pack provides the same dry glaze format in a bulk quantity for customers preparing larger batches. Mix the powder thoroughly with the specified water and medium proportions before application, then follow the recommended high-temperature stoneware firing range for consistent preparation across studio, production or larger workshop quantities.
- No clay is included in the glaze recipe
- Brushing medium helps the prepared glaze adhere to the ceramic body
- The medium helps reduce settling and supports shelf life
- It also helps minimise crazing during firing
