Morning Fog - Speedball Studio Plus Glaze 473ml
Morning Fog is an atmospheric Speedball Studio Plus speciality glaze that blends soft greys, creams, greens and whites for a naturally variegated finish. Its hazy, winter-inspired colouring makes it ideal for contemporary pottery, rustic tableware, nature-inspired ceramics, textured decorative pieces, mugs, bowls and plates.
Part of the Speedball Studio Plus glaze range, Morning Fog is one of the speciality low-fire mottling colours. When fired at Cone 06/05, it produces a glossy grey and cream mottled finish with soft, organic colour movement. Mottling appears on flat surfaces but becomes much more pronounced over carved, stamped or textured areas.
Application thickness can significantly influence the fired result. One to two average coats can encourage more prominent brown colouring, while three heavy coats can create stronger variegation featuring browns, taupes and blues.

As a speciality mottling glaze, fired results may vary depending on application thickness, clay body, surface texture and kiln conditions. We recommend testing Morning Fog first on a new clay body to assess the colour variation produced by different coat thicknesses.
