A Soft Translucent Satin Surface for Cone 6 Ceramics
Satin Clear C6 Pro Series Glaze creates a silky, translucent satin-matt surface that softens the appearance of the clay beneath without the high shine of a conventional clear gloss. Its gentle, neutral finish suits ceramic forms where shape, throwing lines and understated surface detail should remain the focus rather than a strongly coloured glaze.
Choose Satin Clear when you want a quieter, lower-sheen alternative to a clear gloss while retaining as much translucency as a satin glaze can provide. Because satin-matt surfaces naturally appear less transparent than gloss clears, test the mixed glaze on the intended porcelain or stoneware body before applying it across a larger studio batch.
- Refer to the Pro Series Mixing Guide before preparing the wet glaze
- Make a fired test on the intended clay body before larger application
- Keep test application consistent when assessing surface and translucency
