Deep Blue Colour with Lighter Variegation on Texture
Midnight Blue C6 Pro Series Glaze develops a deep blue fired background with lighter bluish-white variegation where the glaze is applied more heavily. This contrast helps ridges, carved lines and raised texture stand out, making it a strong choice for sculptural vessels, ribbed forms and pottery where surface detail should remain visible beneath a dark colour.
Choose this glaze when you want more depth and movement than a flat navy or uniformly coloured surface. The result responds to application thickness, so compare thinner and thicker areas on a test tile before glazing important work. Once mixed, it can also be layered, but each combination should be tested with the chosen clay body and firing schedule.
- Use ridged, carved or textured forms to emphasise the lighter variegation
- Compare thin and thick application on a test tile before larger work
- Follow the Pro Series Mixing Guide when preparing the powder
