  Description

Greenish-Black Cone 6 Glaze with Subtle Metallic Depth

Metallic Black C6 Pro Series Dry Glaze fires to a soft greenish-black surface with subtle depth and a slight oil-spill sheen where the application is thicker. The dark, shifting finish works especially well on ridged vessels, sculptural pottery and contemporary forms, where raised edges can catch the cooler green-blue variation while recessed areas remain close to black.

Choose Metallic Black when you want more tonal movement than a flat black glaze without moving into a brightly reactive or strongly variegated finish. Test the mixed glaze on the intended clay body before larger use, as application thickness and firing conditions can change the strength of the sheen and the balance between black and greenish tones.

  • Prepare working quantities as required for test batches or regular studio use
  • Use test tiles to compare thickness, layering and fired surface response
  • Add a suitable brushing medium such as Veegum T when adapting the mixed glaze for brush application

Subject to exceptions, we are happy to accept returns of incorrectly ordered or mispicked items within 28 days of delivery. Your 28 day period begins on the date shown at the top of your invoice. Please call us on 01782 319435 or e-mail enquiries@cromartie.co.uk to inform us of an incorrectly picked or incorrectly ordered item. When returning items to us, please include a note or copy of your sales order or invoice with your goods to enable us to process your refund. We can either arrange a refund for the returned items or a credit note, the value of which can be deducted from your next order. Refunds will be credited to the original payment card. Goods must be returned in a fully resaleable condition and any lids, packaging and labels must be intact. Please note, we will only refund or credit the sale value of incorrectly ordered goods – not any return postage. We reserve the right to refuse an exchange or refund if goods are not returned in a saleable condition.
