Warm Purple Semi-Matt Glaze for Cone 6 Ceramics
Orchid C6 Pro Series Dry Glaze fires to a warm purple semi-matt surface with very subtle light pink undertones. Its soft, even colour works well on rounded vessels, gently ribbed pottery and contemporary decorative forms where a distinctive purple finish is wanted without a highly glossy or strongly reactive surface.
Choose Orchid when you want a warmer and quieter purple than a cooler blue-violet glaze, with a softer surface character than a gloss finish. Test the mixed glaze on the intended clay body before larger work, as application thickness, layering and firing conditions can influence the final purple tone and visibility of the pink undertones.
- Keep labelled test tiles for each clay body and layered glaze combination
- Record mixed-batch consistency and application thickness when repeatability matters
- Prepare working quantities as required for testing or regular studio use
