  Description

Earthy Brown Ash Character Inspired by Wood Firing

Brown Ash C6 Pro Series Dry Glaze develops layered earthy brown and rust-toned variation with a mottled ash-style surface designed to suggest the character of wood-fired pottery. Its natural-looking movement suits ribbed vessels, textured planters and rustic ceramic forms, where the changing tones can emphasise throwing lines, contours and surface detail.

Choose Brown Ash instead of a cleaner, uniformly coloured brown glaze when you want greater tonal variation and an ash-inspired response to the clay beneath it. Test the glaze on the intended stoneware before larger work because it can move and develop a darker result on some bodies, while brighter clay bodies and porcelain generally show the brown variation more clearly.

  • Use labelled test tiles to compare the fired response across different clay bodies
  • Allow for possible glaze movement when testing unfamiliar stoneware bodies
  • Test planned layered combinations separately before larger studio work

When returning items to us, please include a note or copy of your sales order or invoice with your goods to enable us to process your refund. We can either arrange a refund for the returned items or a credit note, the value of which can be deducted from your next order. Refunds will be credited to the original payment card. Goods must be returned in a fully resaleable condition and any lids, packaging and labels must be intact. Please note, we will only refund or credit the sale value of incorrectly ordered goods – not any return postage. We reserve the right to refuse an exchange or refund if goods are not returned in a saleable condition.
