Transparent Amber Cone 6 Glaze with Warm Brown Depth

Amber Clear C6 Pro Series Dry Glaze produces a transparent amber gloss that warms the clay beneath it and gathers into deeper honey-brown tones across ridges and recessed areas. Its clear, tinted surface suits carved pottery, thrown vessels and textured forms where the underlying body and changing glaze depth can remain visible.

Choose Amber Clear when you want the transparency of a clear glaze with warmer colour and greater visual depth than a colourless finish. Kiln atmosphere is an important variable: reduction firing can move the result towards a classic dark temmoku brown, so test the mixed glaze on the intended clay body before larger work.

  • Use test tiles to compare thinner, fuller and layered applications
  • Record the clay body and kiln atmosphere when assessing fired colour changes
  • Add a suitable brushing medium such as Veegum T when adapting the mixed glaze for brush application

Subject to exceptions, we are happy to accept returns of incorrectly ordered or mispicked items within 28 days of delivery. Your 28 day period begins on the date shown at the top of your invoice. When returning items to us, please include a note or copy of your sales order or invoice with your goods to enable us to process your refund. We can either arrange a refund for the returned items or a credit note, the value of which can be deducted from your next order. Refunds will be credited to the original payment card. Goods must be returned in a fully resaleable condition and any lids, packaging and labels must be intact. Please note, we will only refund or credit the sale value of incorrectly ordered goods – not any return postage. We reserve the right to refuse an exchange or refund if goods are not returned in a saleable condition.
