Matt White Cone 6 Glaze with Soft Grey Breaking

White Matte C6 Pro Series Dry Glaze fires to a true matt white surface with a lightly crystallised character and soft grey breaking where the application is thinner. Its calm neutral finish suits ribbed vessels, carved surfaces and minimalist forms, while the pale ground can provide a useful base for carefully tested washes or glaze combinations.

Choose White Matte when you want a softer and more varied alternative to an even gloss white glaze, with enough tonal change to reveal contours without overwhelming the form. Test the mixed glaze on the intended clay body before larger work, especially when changing application thickness or adding another glaze, because these variables can alter the white coverage and grey breaking.

  • Use test tiles to compare thinner and fuller applications before production work
  • Record mixing and application details when repeatability matters across a batch
  • Add a suitable brushing medium such as Veegum T when adapting the mixed glaze for brush application

Subject to exceptions, we are happy to accept returns of incorrectly ordered or mispicked items within 28 days of delivery. Your 28 day period begins on the date shown at the top of your invoice. Please call us on 01782 319435 or e-mail enquiries@cromartie.co.uk to inform us of an incorrectly picked or incorrectly ordered item. When returning items to us, please include a note or copy of your sales order or invoice with your goods to enable us to process your refund. We can either arrange a refund for the returned items or a credit note, the value of which can be deducted from your next order. Refunds will be credited to the original payment card. Goods must be returned in a fully resaleable condition and any lids, packaging and labels must be intact. Please note, we will only refund or credit the sale value of incorrectly ordered goods – not any return postage. We reserve the right to refuse an exchange or refund if goods are not returned in a saleable condition.
