Opaque Satin Cone 6 Glaze with Layered Mineral Tones

Satin Rutile C6 Pro Series Dry Glaze creates an opaque satin surface with muted grey-green, soft blue-grey and warm cream shifts as the glaze thickness changes. Its quiet, mineral-like palette suits ridged vessels, carved pottery and understated sculptural forms, where contours can reveal the variation without the bright reflection of a gloss glaze.

Choose Satin Rutile when you want more colour movement than a uniform satin glaze, but a calmer result than a strongly reactive or high-gloss finish. Test the mixed glaze on the intended clay body before important work, as application thickness, layering and firing conditions can alter the balance of green, blue, cream and grey.

  • Use labelled test tiles to compare thin, even and layered applications
  • Record mixed-batch consistency and application thickness when repeatability matters
  • Add a suitable brushing medium such as Veegum T when preparing the mixed glaze for brush application

When returning items to us, please include a note or copy of your sales order or invoice with your goods to enable us to process your refund. We can either arrange a refund for the returned items or a credit note, the value of which can be deducted from your next order. Refunds will be credited to the original payment card. Goods must be returned in a fully resaleable condition and any lids, packaging and labels must be intact. Please note, we will only refund or credit the sale value of incorrectly ordered goods – not any return postage. We reserve the right to refuse an exchange or refund if goods are not returned in a saleable condition.
