  Description

Transparent Amber Cone 6 Glaze with Warm Brown Depth

Amber Clear C6 Pro Series Dry Glaze fires to a transparent amber gloss that builds into deeper honey-brown tones where the glaze gathers more heavily. Its warm, translucent surface works particularly well on thrown vessels, carved pottery and ridged forms, allowing the clay beneath and changes in application depth to remain part of the finished decoration.

Choose Amber Clear when you want the clarity of a transparent glaze with more warmth and visual depth than a colourless clear finish. Kiln atmosphere is an important variable, as reduction firing can shift the result towards a classic dark temmoku brown, so test the intended clay and firing process before larger work.

  • Keep labelled test tiles for each clay body and firing atmosphere to compare colour response
  • Evaluate layered glaze combinations on test pieces before production work
  • Add a suitable brushing medium such as Veegum T when adapting the mixed glaze for brush application

When returning items to us, please include a note or copy of your sales order or invoice with your goods to enable us to process your refund. We can either arrange a refund for the returned items or a credit note, the value of which can be deducted from your next order. Refunds will be credited to the original payment card. Goods must be returned in a fully resaleable condition and any lids, packaging and labels must be intact. Please note, we will only refund or credit the sale value of incorrectly ordered goods – not any return postage. We reserve the right to refuse an exchange or refund if goods are not returned in a saleable condition.
