Glossy Black Depth That Responds to Application
Black Gloss C6 Pro Series Glaze fires to a deep black gloss that remains more translucent where applied thin and becomes opaque in heavier areas. This allows texture, edges and the character of some speckled clay bodies to remain visible, giving dark ceramic surfaces more variation than a completely uniform opaque black.
Choose this glaze when you want a reflective black finish that can respond to application thickness rather than masking every detail beneath it. Mix the dry glaze as needed and test it on the chosen porcelain or stoneware body before larger work, especially when layering or relying on the clay's speckling to show through.
- Compare thin and heavier applications on a labelled test tile
- Test layered combinations before applying them to important work
- Follow the mixing guide when preparing the dry powder
