Bulk Gold Metallic Glaze for Raku Firing
Gold Raku Glaze develops a variable gold metallic-effect surface through the Raku firing and reduction process. Natural changes in colour and appearance mean the ceramic surface can differ between firings rather than producing a completely uniform glaze result.
Choose the 25kg dry-powder format when a larger glaze quantity is required. Measure each batch consistently, introduce any additional water in controlled stages and test the prepared glaze before wider application because changes in mixing, application and firing conditions can affect the outcome.
- Measure each batch consistently before making adjustments
- Keep written mixing and application records for comparison tests
- Use test pieces before applying a newly prepared batch more widely
