Dry Raku Glaze for Copper Matt Metallic Effects
Copper Matt Raku Glaze is a dry Milton Bridge glaze for creating a variable Copper Matt metallic-effect surface through the Raku firing process. It is suited to decorative ceramic work where changes in colour and surface appearance are intended to form part of the finished result.
Choose the 1kg powder when you want to prepare the glaze for your selected application method without moving to the larger 25kg quantity. Adjust the mixed consistency gradually and test the glaze thickness before using it on important work, as Raku results can differ considerably between firings.
- Add extra water in small stages when adjusting the consistency
- Record the final mix and applied thickness when comparing tests
- Use reference images only as a guide to the possible fired result
