Powdered Raku Glaze for a Clear Crackle Effect
Clear Raku Glaze is a dry Milton Bridge glaze for creating a clear crackle surface with a variable metallic effect through Raku firing. It suits decorative ceramic work where the crackle response and natural differences between firings are intended to become visible features of the finished piece.
Choose the 1kg powder when you want to prepare the glaze for a selected application technique without moving to the larger 25kg quantity or the liquid brush-on format. Adjust the mixed consistency gradually and test the application before important work because the final colour and surface appearance can vary considerably.
- Mix thoroughly before making consistency adjustments
- Add any extra water in small, controlled stages
- Record the final mixture and application thickness for comparison tests
