Powdered Raku Glaze for a Blue Crackle Effect
Blue Crackle Raku Glaze is a dry Milton Bridge glaze for creating a blue crackle metallic effect through the Raku firing process. Its colour and surface appearance can vary considerably between firings, making the changing crackle response part of the individual ceramic result.
Choose the 1kg powder when you want to prepare the glaze for a selected application technique without moving to the larger 25kg quantity or the liquid brush-on format. Begin with the recommended mixing ratio, introduce additional water gradually where needed and test the glaze before important work.
- Mix thoroughly before making consistency adjustments
- Record the final mixture and applied thickness when comparing tests
- Treat reference results as guidance rather than an exact colour guarantee
