Blue Crackle Effects for Earthenware Pottery
Sapphire Crackle Glaze is a ready-mixed earthenware glaze for adding blue fired colour and a decorative crackle effect to pottery and ceramic pieces.
The clay-free recipe has a more fluid consistency than some other brushing glazes. Its brushing medium supports adhesion to the ceramic body while helping to extend shelf life and reduce settling.
- Test on a sample piece before applying the glaze to important work
- Keep the glaze thickness consistent when comparing fired results
- Allow for variation when changing the clay body or firing process
