Sea Green to Light Blue with Cloudy Colour Effects
Create flowing coastal colour on stoneware with BOTZ Pacific Stoneware Glaze. This glossy green-blue effect glaze produces a cloudy play of colour ranging from sea green through to an intense light blue, with the balance between green and blue influenced by application thickness.
Apply 2–3 coats, preferably 3 coats. Thinner application produces more green, while thicker areas develop a stronger blue character and locally thicker coats can create blue running effects. Fire between 1220°C and 1280°C with a 30-minute soak. BOTZ describes the glaze as most attractive from 1250°C upwards; at 1220°C the surface is more satin-glossy. When firing at 1280°C, apply only 2 coats around the base of vessels.
