Icy Light Blue with a Glossy Crystalline Crackle
Create cool, glass-like stoneware surfaces with BOTZ Glacier Stoneware Glaze. This semi-transparent glossy glaze fires to an icy light blue and develops fine crystalline cracks across the surface, giving finished ceramics a delicate crackled appearance.
Apply 2–3 coats and fire at 1250°C with a 30-minute soak for BOTZ’s recommended result. Glacier remains a cool light blue at 1220°C and 1250°C, while at 1280°C it becomes lighter and more glassy and may begin to run, so care should be taken with placement and application at the upper end of the firing range.
