Glossy Transparent Surface with Fine Black Speckles
Transparent Speckled BOTZ Earthenware Glaze creates a glossy transparent surface scattered with fine black dots. Because the base remains visible through the glaze, the speckles add contrast without covering the colour or decoration underneath. On simple bowls and smooth forms, the small irregular dots can break up broad areas of colour and give an otherwise even surface more visual detail.
Choose Transparent Speckled when a plain transparent glaze would feel too uniform but you still want the underlying surface to remain part of the finished look. It can be used over engobes or mixed with an engobe, giving the speckled effect a role in both transparent top-layer decoration and coloured mixtures. This suits work where surface interest comes from scattered contrast rather than a solid glaze colour.
