Stone-Matt Earth Tones with Natural Colour Variation

Terracotta BOTZ Earthenware Glaze creates a stone-matt, earthen appearance with a play of beige through terracotta-orange tones. The softly varied surface works particularly well on rounded vessels and carved or textured forms, where the changing colour can help emphasise curves, ridges and recessed decoration.

Choose Terracotta when you want a warm, earthy surface where colour variation is part of the finished character rather than a completely uniform result. It is ideally suited to dark clay, and spreading it unevenly can create stronger effects, giving makers more scope to vary the surface across a piece.
