Intensive Blue-Turquoise Colour with Glossy Crackle Detail
Oriental Blue BOTZ Earthenware Glaze produces an intensive, semi-transparent blue-turquoise colour with a glossy crackled surface. It becomes especially radiant on bright clay and porcelain, while the attached examples show how the blue-turquoise character can range from pale aqua tones to much deeper colour across different ceramic pieces.
Choose this glaze when both colour and visible crackle lines are intended to contribute to the decoration. The colour becomes more greenish when fired at 1100°C, and the cracks can be dyed with ink to give the network additional definition.
