Glossy Orange-Red Earthenware Glaze with Orange-Peel Texture

Lava BOTZ Earthenware Glaze creates a glossy orange-red surface with a vivid orange-peel texture. The colour can tend towards white at the edges, adding lighter contrast around rims, ridges and changes in form. This lively surface gives rounded vessels, sculptural pieces and simple shapes plenty of visual character.

Choose Lava when you want warm orange-red colour with pronounced surface movement rather than an even, flat glaze. Apply it as a thick coat to develop its characteristic texture. It is also suitable for Raku firing, where the colour can become very bright, giving makers another way to explore its bold fired appearance.
