Glossy Medium Brown for Defined Ceramic Forms
Hazel BOTZ Earthenware Glaze gives an opaque medium brown with a glossy finish. On simple bowls and faceted forms, the reflective surface catches curves and angular edges to give the shape more visual depth. The warm brown works naturally where the form itself is an important part of the decoration and a solid colour provides the main visual character.
Because the colour is opaque, Hazel is a useful choice when you want the brown glaze to take visual priority over the clay beneath rather than remain translucent. It also gives very good results on coloured clay, broadening the choice of clay-body colours available when planning an individual piece or a coordinated group of forms.
