Its mottled balance of green and deeper brown tones gives the glaze an earthy, varied character, making it a distinctive choice for bowls and simple forms where the fired surface can remain a central part of the decoration.
The colour balance responds to application thickness: thinner 1–2 layer coverage keeps a higher share of green, while 2–3 layers produce a more brownish result.
