This wire clay cutter is used for slicing through clay slabs and cutting thrown pots free from the pottery wheel head. The cutting wire is held between two wooden handles, allowing it to be drawn through clay by hand.
It can be used with all types of clay, making it suitable for routine clay cutting during handbuilding and wheel throwing.
