Iron Chun Glaze for Larger Stoneware Batches

Iron Chun Milton Bridge Stoneware Glaze gives fired work a restrained blue-grey colour with areas of olive and deeper charcoal variation. The visible sample shows stronger contrast around impressed decoration, making this glaze particularly relevant to stoneware where carving, stamping or relief is intended to remain a noticeable part of the finished surface.

The 25kg dry pack provides the same Iron Chun colour direction for projects requiring a substantially larger quantity of prepared glaze. Before scaling up, produce representative fired tests and record the ceramic body, preparation and firing conditions used, as keeping these variables consistent makes subsequent batches easier to compare where repeatability matters.

  • Establish a representative fired test before preparing glaze for larger production batches.
  • Record the ceramic body and preparation used when repeatability is important.
  • Retain a fired reference piece to compare subsequent batches visually.
