Brush-On Raku Glaze for a Red Crackle Effect
Red Raku Brush-On Glaze is a liquid Milton Bridge glaze for creating a variable red crackle-effect surface through Raku firing. Its colour and crackle appearance can differ considerably between firings, making the response of the process part of the individual finished result.
Choose the 500ml brush-on format when you want direct application rather than preparing a dry-powder mixture. Stir thoroughly, apply three coats and allow each layer to dry before adding the next, then test the complete firing and reduction process before using the glaze on important work.
- Keep the applied thickness consistent across comparison pieces
- Record the firing and reduction conditions used for each test
- Treat reference results as guidance rather than an exact colour guarantee
