Soft Turquoise with Fine Light Specks and Changing Blue-Green Effects
Create fresh turquoise stoneware surfaces with BOTZ Turquoise Granite Stoneware Glaze. The fired colour develops from a soft greenish turquoise through to a more vivid bluish turquoise, with fine lighter specks and subtle tonal effects across the surface.
Apply 2–3 coats, with BOTZ recommending 3 coats for the preferred result. Fire between 1220°C and 1280°C with a 30-minute soak; BOTZ describes the glaze as most attractive from 1250°C upwards. At 1220°C it produces a greenish turquoise silk-matt finish, at 1250°C a turquoise surface with light effects, and at 1280°C the effects intensify into a more vivid bluish turquoise. BOTZ describes the finish as silk-matt in its application notes, while the product properties classify it as satin-glossy.
