Warm Sand Yellow with Fine Dark Specks and a Soft Natural Finish
Bring warm sandy colour to stoneware with BOTZ Sand Granite Stoneware Glaze. This sand-yellow glaze contains fine black specks and creates a softly varied natural surface, with the yellow tone becoming lighter and more pastel-like as the firing temperature increases.
Apply 2–3 coats, with BOTZ recommending 3 coats for the preferred result. Fire between 1220°C and 1280°C with a 30-minute soak, with the glaze described as most attractive from 1250°C upwards. At 1220°C BOTZ describes the colour as a silk-matt yolk yellow; at 1250°C it becomes silk-matt sand yellow with fine black specks; and at 1280°C it develops a matt pastel yellow with fine light and black specks. BOTZ describes the finish as silk-matt or matt in its application notes, while the product properties classify it as satin-glossy.
