Soft Beige with Fine Dark Specks and a Natural Stone-Like Character
Create softly neutral stoneware surfaces with BOTZ Beige Granite Stoneware Glaze. This beige-coloured glaze contains fine dark specks and develops subtle natural variation, giving fired pottery an understated stone-like character.
Apply 2–3 coats, with BOTZ recommending 3 coats for the preferred result. Fire between 1220°C and 1280°C with a 30-minute soak, with the glaze described as most attractive from 1250°C upwards. At 1220°C it fires to a slightly yellowish beige with fine black specks; at 1250°C it becomes a light beige with fine black specks; and at 1280°C it changes to a light grey-white with fine brown and black specks and a pronounced rock-like character. BOTZ describes the finish as silk-matt in its application notes, while the product properties classify it as satin-glossy.
