If you like throwing on plaster bats, Hydro-Bats are a stronger, more absorbent alternative for wheel throwing. Made from Hydro-Stone rather than standard pottery plaster, these pottery throwing bats are designed to be around eight to ten times stronger than similar plaster bats, with a scratch-resistant surface and water-absorbing properties that help remove the need to wire pieces off the bat after throwing.
Hydro-Bats are designed to fit standard wheel heads with bat pins placed 10 inches apart, using durable hard rubber grommets cast into the underside for a snug, reliable fit over standard 3/8 inch bat pins. Choose from Hydro-Bat sizes including 10 inch, 12.5 inch, 14 inch, 16 inch and 18 inch, plus useful accessories such as the Hydro-Bat adapter and patch kit for keeping your throwing setup working smoothly.
