About Potfest Scotland – Scone Palace

Set in the beautiful grounds of Scone Palace, Perth.

This is the 28th year of Potfest in Scotland and the 13th year at Scone – the historic home of the Stone of Destiny.

Under large marquees across the Palace lawns, meet 90 studio ceramic artists displaying their incredible work. Wander through Scone’s grounds, gardens, and pinetum, talk to the makers, discover what fuels their passion for clay, and buy direct from the artists. Make a full day of your visit and immerse yourself in this Scottish celebration of ceramics.

Potters’ Competition

At each Potfest show, potters are invited to enter a piece of work responding to a specific theme.

The theme for 2025 will be announced early in the new year. In 2024, the theme was:

Hybrid – a mixture of two different things, resulting in something that has a little bit of both.

Visitors will have the chance to vote for their favourite piece on the day, with one lucky voter winning free entry to all Potfest events for life with a Potfest Passport.
