Tile Cranks

Tile cranks are kiln furniture assemblies for tiles that are used to enable the maximum number of tiles to be fitted in your kiln. A wide range of different sizes are available- we list the most popular but please let us know if these do not fit your requirements and we will do our best to accommodate you. Tile cranks have two components - the uprights and the base/cover. The tile size determines which base/cover is required and the height of the stacking area and thickness of the tile determine the upright size. The uprights slot into a base/cover at either end, producing a frame into which the tiles are place ready for firing. Ledges protrude from the uprights support the tiles. Use our two part tile crank cement to give a rigid and secure assembly.
Two base/covers and either three or four uprights are needed for each set.
