Add jewel-like colour to your creations with our lead-free enamelling powders. Jewellery enamel is finely crushed glass powder (finer than sugar, coarser than flour) that fuses to metal in a kiln to create a glossy, durable finish. Our range comes in handy 50g pots, perfect for building a colour palette for pendants, charms, earrings and decorative metalwork.
Choose from a wide selection of consistent colours across both transparent jewellery enamel (recommended firing temperature: 820°C–840°C) and opaque jewellery enamel (recommended firing temperature: 780°C–800°C). Enamel can be dusted or wet inlayed onto gold, silver and copper; you can also use lump enamel to create raised detail or scrolling effects. For silver, gold-bearing rubies and pinks typically need 8100 flux during the first application, and flux can be used on copper to enhance colour depth.
Workshop interest: If you would be interested in attending enamelling workshops at Cromartie, please pop us an e-mail to register your interest (enquiries-cromartiehobbycraft@outlook.com) and we will add you to our mailing list to be informed of future events. Please note: every effort is made to show colours accurately, however firing variables can affect the final shade achieved.
