Jewellery enamel is glass that has been crushed to a powder somewhat finer than granulated sugar and somewhat coarser than flour.
Our range of lead-free jewellery enamel powders are available in 50g pots. They are highly durable and generally consistent across each range of opaque and transparent colours.
Transparent jewellery enamel: recommended firing temperature: 820°C - 840°C
Application: Enamel can be dusted or wet inlayed to gold, silver and copper. All gold bearing ruby’s and pinks require 8100 flux applied during the first application on Silver. Flux can be used on copper to enhance the colour. Lump can be used to give a raised appearance to the enamel or for use in scrolling technique. Grades: Transparent in powder – Standard is 60’s mesh.
Opaque jewellery enamel: recommended firing temperature: 780°C – 800°C
Application: Enamel can be dusted or wet inlayed to gold, silver and copper. Lump can be used to give a raised appearance to the enamel or for use in scrolling technique. Grades: Opaque in powder – Standard is 80’s mesh.
Please note, every effort has been made to make the colours shown representative of the actual product, however variations in the firing process can result in a deviation to the colour achieved.
